a little (self) love goes a long way

Guilt.

If I eat too much chocolate, I will inevitably get a belly ache. But how much guilt can one consume before one becomes physically ill?

We often think about the physical things we need to do to keep our bodies healthy – eat vegetables, get exercise, sleep and so on . . .

How often do we think about the effects of our own thoughts on our health? What about the relationship between our thoughts our habits?

Interestingly enough, it is well known that there is a connection between mental health and physical well being. Our thought patterns, whether conscious or unconscious do have lasting effects on our bodies, our relationships, and our lives. How often are our thought patterns nurturing and developing our overall well being? What can we do about these patterns?

Here is my invitation to you share a little more love with yourself:

Take a moment each day to focus at least one kind thought towards yourself.

If you find this practice a little tricky (most of us do), I invite you to try this experiment to help you get started.

Remember to enjoy your chocolate responsibly, and try not to indulge in too much guilt – it’s not good for your digestion either!
