it’s time …
time to come out of the closet …
no.
not that closet.
the woo closet.
what?!
what exactly is the woo closet? what exactly is woo?
“woo” also known as “woo-woo” is this idea of flaky spirituality … you know … granola crunching hippy type spiritual seeking guru type people … yeah, that’s right. I’m one of “those” ones.
except that I’m not.
I’m just me – a healer, a teacher, a learner. Fellow human energy field.
and that’s powerful stuff.
so what does that mean? “woo” I mean … what is “woo”?
in our culture there is a deep prevailing belief that runs in our veins. the belief that we are separate. the belief we are substance and only substance. and that because of the evidence we have, that is all there is.
I am not here to argue against science or the scientific method – let me be clear about that.
my point is that 1) we don’t know everything 2) we do know a lot of things 3) not everything can be easily explained in a way that makes “sense” to our linear thinking 4) there are many perspectives which linear thought is only one
I trust my experience. I trust the ancient teachings of the wise ones and masters that came before me. I believe that there is no coincidence that some of the basic and fundamental concepts of spiritual principals (aka “woo”) run deeply and congruently in the history and roots of cultures, prophecies, ancient texts, civilizations, art, religions, spanning all timelines and geography in the history of humanity.
Great Spirit, The Universe, God, Goddess, Gaia, One … whatever you want to call it … it is one and the same thing.
why am I writing this now?
perhaps it’s living in a culture where talking about spirits is not particularly extraordinary and spirit has a lot to do with explaining … well pretty much everything … and where exorcism still exists and is practice … for realsies.
perhaps it is here in this rich culture where shamanism and Catholicism meet and are practically practiced under the same roof … perhaps it is here where it can sometime seem like anything goes .. perhaps it is here that I started to feel like I wasn’t going crazy … that this whole spirit thing can be brought out into the open to be talked about and best – learned and honed into healing medicine to share with others.
and there it is …
this is healing medicine.
we are not separate cell by cell things … we are an experience … an interconnected organism … a web of life … connected to the greater web of life … and we are experiencing this thing we call “life” through the energetic matrix that we are a part of.
we don’t have to believe in energy any more than we have to believe in the sun … it’s just there. It just is.
This.
This is why I am writing this … this is why I’m taking some personal risk and coming out … this is why it’s important.
we have lived too long in the false belief of our separateness. we are not separate. we are whole. we are part of a whole.
it’s time … it’s time for us as a culture, a civilization, a planet to awaken … to take action … and not just take action, but act from this knowledge – that we are love. that we are pure and beautiful, blessed light beings.
