oceanic body . . . a poem

The ocean lives in my bones

I can feel the swell

undulating through my skin

salty buoyant ripples flowing through

my flesh like liquid bliss

A feeling of coming home

I am

everything and nothing

a drop of water

the thread of tide

yawning open

my organs cradled in this saline

held by the moon’s gentle tug

My existence depends solely on this watery amoeba of cells

my sea cells

When I close my eyes

I reconnect the the momentum of

the wave

the energy pull through my toes

and melting into each molecule of

my being.

I am

floating ocean on land

I am

fluid being of light

I am

turbulent flowing love

I am

in each drop of the sea.
